Booking terms and conditions
Last updated: 31 October 2026. Version 1.0.
These terms are in three parts:
- Part A applies to every booking.
- Part B applies only when a business or other organisation books (business customers).
- Part C applies only when an individual books for their own purposes, not for their business, trade or profession (consumers). If Part C conflicts with Part A or Part B, Part C applies to consumers.
Part A. Terms for every booking
A1. Who we are
IGOE AI LTD ("we", "us"), a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 14264809. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Email: josh@igoe.ai.
A2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to training courses and sessions we deliver, live online or in person ("training"). Any other work is covered by a separate written agreement or proposal. If you have signed a separate agreement or accepted a written proposal with us, that agreement or proposal applies first, and these terms fill any gaps.
A3. How a booking is made
Sending an enquiry does not make a booking. A booking is confirmed when we email you a booking confirmation after you accept our proposal. Your confirmation sets out the course, dates, delivery format, number of learners and the price.
A4. Price
Our current prices are published on our courses and pricing page. Private cohorts are for up to 10 learners. Your proposal and booking confirmation set out the total price you will pay. Any introductory or special price, and any conditions that come with it, will be set out in your proposal.
Published prices do not include separately charged labs, licences, travel or venue costs. If any of these apply, we will agree them with you in writing before you book.
A5. Payment
We will invoice you when we send your booking confirmation. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date, and in any case before the first day of the course. You can pay by card or by bank transfer. If your organisation needs a purchase order number on the invoice, please tell us before we invoice.
Consumers pay in full when booking. Your cancellation rights in Part C still apply.
A6. Changing a learner
You can replace a named learner with someone else at no charge, as long as you tell us in writing before the course starts. If a third-party item such as a lab access key or exam voucher has already been issued to the original learner, it may not be transferable.
A7. Cancelling or moving a booking (by you)
To cancel or move a booking, email josh@igoe.ai. The date we receive your email is the date of cancellation.
| When you tell us in writing | What you pay |
|---|---|
| 29 days or more before the course starts | Nothing. We refund anything you have paid. |
| 15 to 28 days before | 50% of the course fee |
| 14 days or fewer before, or if learners do not attend | The full course fee |
You can move to a new date once at no charge if you tell us 15 days or more before the course starts. Later moves are treated as a cancellation under the table above.
These charges reflect the time we reserve for your course and the work we can no longer take on. Consumers also have the 14-day cancellation rights in Part C, and these charges only apply after that period ends.
A8. Cancelling or moving training (by us)
Occasionally we may need to cancel or move training, for example if the trainer is ill or for reasons outside our control. If this happens we will tell you as soon as we can and offer a new date. If the new date does not suit you, we will give you a full refund of the course fee.
Business customers: we are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you have paid if we cancel or move training, so we recommend booking refundable travel.
A9. Refunds
Refunds are only due when a booking is cancelled under A7, A8 or Part C. When a refund is due:
- we refund to the original payment method. Card payments go back to the same card, and bank transfers go back to the account that paid. We do not give cash refunds.
- we issue the refund within 14 days of confirming the cancellation. Card refunds can take a few working days to show on your statement.
- third-party costs already incurred for a named learner, such as lab access keys and exam vouchers, may not be refundable once issued. We will tell you in advance which costs these are, and any deduction is limited to costs we have actually paid.
A10. Free retake
If a learner is not satisfied with a course, we will offer them a free place on a future run of the same course, subject to availability. This is a free retake, not a refund. It is in addition to your legal rights and does not change your cancellation rights under A7 to A9 or Part C. To ask for a free retake, email josh@igoe.ai within 30 days of the last day of the course.
A11. Learners and joining
Learners should follow the joining instructions we send. For live online training, you are responsible for providing a suitable device, internet connection and access to Microsoft Teams or the platform we name. For training in your own Microsoft 365 tenant, you are responsible for licences, permissions and any approvals your organisation needs.
We may ask a learner who seriously disrupts training to leave. No refund is due in that case.
Please use only fictional or approved test data in exercises and demos. Do not share confidential or personal data in a training session unless we have agreed this in writing.
A12. Course materials
Official Microsoft courses use official Microsoft courseware, which is provided to learners under Microsoft's own terms. Our own materials (labs, handouts, slides and guides) belong to IGOE AI LTD and are licensed to you and your learners for internal learning use only. Please do not resell or republish them.
Completing a course does not guarantee passing any Microsoft Certification exam or other assessment.
A13. Personal information
We use learner and booking contact information as set out in our privacy notice.
A14. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failure to deliver caused by events outside our reasonable control. If this happens, A8 applies.
A15. Complaints
Please tell us about any problem as soon as possible so we can put it right. Our complaints procedure explains how.
A16. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and the mandatory consumer law of your home nation still applies.
Part B. Additional terms for business customers
B1. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, our total liability to you under or in connection with a booking is limited to the fees paid for that booking. We are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
B2. Late payment
If an invoice is paid late, we may claim interest and fixed compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
B3. Your tenant and systems
Where training uses your Microsoft 365 tenant, you remain responsible for your tenant's configuration, security, licences and data, and for any agents or automations your staff build. We give guidance, but decisions about what to put into production are yours.
B4. Entire agreement
Your proposal, booking confirmation and these terms are the whole agreement between us for the training.
Part C. Your rights if you are a consumer
C1. Your 14-day right to cancel
If you book as a consumer online, by phone or by email, you have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day the contract is made, which is the day we send your booking confirmation.
To cancel, tell us clearly before the cancellation period ends. Email josh@igoe.ai or write to IGOE AI LTD, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. You can use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to.
C2. If you ask us to start within the 14 days
If your training starts within 14 days of booking, we will ask you to confirm by email that you want us to start during the cancellation period, and that you understand what that means. If you do:
- you can still cancel within the 14 days, but you will pay for the training provided up to the time you tell us you are cancelling, in proportion to the full price
- if the training has been fully delivered within the 14 days, you lose your right to cancel
C3. Refunds if you cancel within 14 days
We will refund the amount you paid, less any proportionate amount for training already provided under C2, within 14 days of the day you tell us you are cancelling. We will use the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will not pay any fee for the refund.
C4. After the 14 days
After the cancellation period, you can still cancel or move your booking under A7, and the charges in A7 apply.
C5. Your legal rights
We must provide training with reasonable care and skill and as described. If we do not, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the right to ask us to repeat the service or, if that is not possible, to a price reduction. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. Free advice is available from Citizens Advice.
C6. Our liability to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses, as we provide training to consumers for private use.
C7. Model cancellation form
Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel the contract.
